For a start, you get a choice of two different methods of production with CDs. For short runs of less than 500, you would use CD-R (‘recordable’). This process is referred to as ‘CD duplication’ and is carried out on computer equipment.
‘CD Replication’, on the other hand, uses the CD-ROM format and refers to the replication manufacturing process. This is where we create a glass master from your original data and use it to ‘press’ runs of more than 500 copies.
