DVD Production
Larger memory and plenty of choice
The big benefit of DVDs (Digital Versatile Disc) is that they offer substantial memory gains over CDs. So if your duplication material comprises more than 650Mb of data per disc, DVD production is what you should be thinking about.
DVDs can offer either up to 4.7 GIGA-Bytes (GB - that’s ONE MILLION bytes of information) and some as much as 17GB– depending on the capacity and format.
The important thing to know about DVD production is that you have choices available that depend on what’s being duplicated, the volumes involved, your budget and how much time you’ve got.
Film duplication needs the DVD-video format, while DVD-ROM can store up to 4.7Gb of data. DVD-ROM is what you would use for high memory presentations and training programme information.
Beyond that, you should know that you have a choice of two different methods to copy your original. DVD Duplication uses DVD-/+R (‘recordable’) format and is for short-run copying carried out on specialist computer equipment. What we call DVD replication, however, uses DVD-ROM format. This involves creating a glass master so you can ‘press’ large quantities – generally anything above 500.
In addition, you have a range of DVD printing and DVD packaging options to suit every requirement.
Whatever your requirements, we’re sure we can help you choose the best solution. Read on to find out how our friendly, expert DVD production service can meet all your requirements.
